| Disabled
access for visitors
Part
3 of The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 states that from
October 2004 “service providers may have to make reasonable
adjustments in relation to the physical features of their
premises to overcome physical barriers to access”.
Our offices at 42 George Street, Dumfries are listed category
B and are in a conservation area which prevents us making
alterations to allow access for wheel chair users.
If
anyone wishing to visit us in our Dumfries has a physical
disability which prevents them accessing the office we will
arrange to meet at their home or convenient alternative.
Our Stranraer office has level access but lacks full disabled
toilet facilities which would be impracticable in the space
available and the same arrangements apply for arranging suitable
alternatives should our facilities be insufficient.
